Product Details

Ruth Chavarri’s Albariño comes from the small enclave of Ribadumia, in the cool, north-western region of Rías Baixas, home to Spain’s very best Albariños.

Close to the Atlantic, the vines here are ocean-cooled, so the grapes ripen slowly and steadily. That slower pace means more aromatics, greater depth of flavour and that distinctive sea-breeze freshness typical of the best Albariño.

2020 was a fantastic vintage and this is mouthwateringly fresh and elegant with a tempting array of nectarine, peach and citrus zest aromas. With a fine minerality owing to the cool sea breezes, it’s delicious with seafood or as an aperitif.

Albariño is “Spain’s best white by miles” (wine writer Matthew Jukes) and, as you probably know, has become hugely fashionable in recent years.
